Short Path Distillation

Short Path Distillation with Internal Condenser

The short path evaporator with internal condenser combines evaporator and condenser in a single apparatus. This eliminates pressure losses caused by piping. Therefore, the distance between evaporation and condensation is extremely short. Actually there is no pressure drop between evaporator surface and internal condenser. This process is defined as "molecular distillation" when the distance between evaporator and condenser is less than the mean free path of the vapour molecules.

The roller wiper system used in our plants optimises the efficiency of the evaporators. The product film on the surface of the evaporator is mixed continuously. The wiper system avoids any concentration gradient inside the thin film. In fact there is also an increase of the evaporator surface by the surface of the rollers.

The most significant advantage of our roller wiper system is its self cleaning characteristic.
